UPMFB Director, Rev. Fr. Anthony Igwe, earns triple honours: Obtains 3rd Doctorate degree, rises to senior Lecturer at UNN and appointed into Enugu State Health Advisory C'ttee

UPMFB Director, Rev Fr Dr Anthony Igwe, has obtained his third Doctorate degree, in Economics in August 2016, thus obtaining triple doctorate degrees in Management (in 2011), Philosophy (in 2013) and Economics (in 2016) and from three different universities: University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (NAU) and Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), respectively.

Igwe, a 43-year-old Roman Catholic priest at the time of obtaining his third doctorate degree and hails from Ozalla in the Nkanu West local government area of Enugu State, was in October 2016 appointed into the membership of Enugu State Health Advisory Committee by the State governor, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and was also elevated in December 2016 by the authorities of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) to the rank of senior lecturer at the university where he teaches Management at the department of Management at the Enugu campus of the institution.

The multi-dimensional exposure he has through his education has positioned him into different areas of the Nigeria society. He currently doubles as the Diocesan Health coordinator and Administrator of all the Catholic Diocesan hospitals in Enugu state, Nigeria.

Fr Igwe, otherwise popularly admired and called Udu ata ata, became a priest at the age of 30 loves research and is currently pursuing his fourth Doctorate degree, in Development Studies, at the UNN. He is also is a visiting lecturer to Enugu state university of Science and Technology.
