Chairman of Umuchinemere Pro-credit Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited, Very Rev. Prof. Obiora Ike, was extolled the virtues of the immediate past chaplain of the bank, Rev. Fr. Joseph Inmpeh.
Msgr. Ike made the remark about his former deputy at a send off ceremony in his honour, organized by the Catholic Institute for Development, Justice, Peace and Caritas (CIDJAP).
Rev. Fr. Joseph Inmpeh until his posting to the Enugu State University of science and Technology (ESUT), Agbani as the chaplain was the deputy Director of CIDJAP and chaplain of UPMFB.
Rev. Msgr. Ike said Inmpeh was a square peg in a square hole, possessing such rare qualities as humility, diligence, competence, modesty, uprightness, open-guardedness, etc, which he said were characteristics of a gentleman.
He urged the priest to carry his good attributes all through his life and service to God. Mgr. Ile described both CIDJAP and Umucheinemere Pro-credit Microfinance bank as disciplined organizations and charged the workers of the two sister organizations to be mindful of the image of the organizations and ensure at all times the maintenance of the good reputations of the organizations.
Earlier both organizations had seen Fr. Inmpeh as hardworking, articulate and focused. In response, Fr. Inmpeh commended the bank for its people oriented service, describing Mgr. Ike as a path-finder, fore-runner and an asset to mankind.
He said though he was leaving, he will continue to be a good ambassador of the bank.
