Birth and Education
Igwe, Anthony Aniagbaoso is an amazing writer, brilliant management consultant and a self-defined "conflict manager". Anthony was born on 31 August, 1973 to Regina and Isaac Igwe in a small village called Akaegbe-Ugwu in Enugu state Nigeria. He attended Bigard Memorial Seminary Enugu and finished with second class upper division in both philosophy and theology. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 2003. Few years after the ordination, he started postgraduate programmes. He has the following academic degrees: Doctorate Degree in Management, Masters Degrees in Management, Health Administration and Development Studies. He also has a Postgraduate diploma in management, all from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. The title of his PhD thesis in Management is The Appraisal of the Business Policy Models in the Management of Mission Hospitals in the Southeast –Nigeria.

He also has doctorate degree in Economics and Master of Science in Economics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. The quest to diversify and broaden his scope of knowledge took him to NnamdiAzikiwe University Awka where he obtaineddoctorate degree in Philosophy and Master of Arts degree in Philosophy. Currently, he is doing a doctorate degree programme in Development Studies at University of Nigeria – Enugu Campus.

Employment History
The multi-dimensional exposure he has through his education has positioned him into different areas of the Nigeria society. He currently doubles as the Diocesan Health coordinator and Administrator of all the Catholic Diocesan hospitals in Enugu state, Nigeria. His eight years as administrator has brought the hospitals to the limelight to the admiration of everybody in Enugu State. Furthermore, his passion for academic endeavours has pushed him into the Nigeria Universities. He is at the moment a senior lecturer in the University of Nigeria Nsukka and also is a visiting lecturer to Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

He has been responsible for lecturing and coordinating the academic activities of the Management Department and ensuring high quality of teaching and research; He was in the committee that prepared the curricula for the NUC accreditation and served in several other committees such as Quality and Academic Standards, Strategic Planning, Curriculum Development in the department.

He lectures both the undergraduate and the postgraduate students on the following courses: Conflict and Diversity management, Advanced Microeconomic Theories, Elements of Micro and Macroeconomics, Advanced Conflict Management, General Introduction to Management, Advanced Industrial Relations, Business Policy, Elements of Microeconomics, Elements of Macroeconomics, Igbo Metaphysics and African Philosophy. Anthony is a member of the Enugu Diocesan Curia (the Bishop's Advisory Board). He has considerable skills, experience and professional credentials and is involved financial and health management.

Research Interest:
His major research interest is on conflict and diversity management. This is motivated by the crises in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa. Besides, he is also interested in issues bothering on macroeconomics and hospital management. He did a lot of work on occupational health and safety in Nigeria hospitals. He has also investigated on the epistemological foundation of African ancestorship. He is presently researching on the implication of deposit money bank credit mismatch on sectoral growth in Nigeria.

Publications and Creative Works
He is involved in many research activities in the university and beyond. This is evidenced by the number of books and journal articles which he has authored, which include the: Applied Economics in Nigeria, An Introduction to Labour Economics;Environmental Responsibility of Corporate Bodies in Nigeria: Tropical Focus; Reducing Graduate Unemployment Through Entrepreneurship Development: The Nigerian Experience; An Appraisal of the Effect of Medical Evaluation and Supervisory Interview on Selection Process of Nigeria Brewery Industries; Marketing Strategy and its Effects on the Organization; Intellectuals and New Strategies for Management in Third World Countries; An appraisal of open system business policy model in the management of Mission Hospital in Southeast Nigeria etc.
He has also attended many international and local conferences.

Board Membership
He is currently a member of Nigerian Institute of Management. He is also a board member of the following: Enugu Diocesan Health Management Board, Umuchinemere Pro-credit Micro Finance Bank Enugu, Enugu Diocesan Financial Board and Enugu State Health Advisory Committee, etc.
